Tuesday we got up early and I drove Nate to work so I could
have to car to come back around lunch so the guys could have a tour of ASML.
On this day my one good pair of jeans I had brought from
home decided they hated me and not only did the zipper break (by going down too
far and not being able to get them back together) but also splitting open a
thin spot worn through by lots of use. Needless to say my goal for the day was
the buy a new pair of jeans that didn’t break the bank.
When I got back from
dropping Nate off at work I told the guys I was going out shopping, they
decided to go to the DAF museum here in Eindhoven that was a short walk away, I
told them to meet me back at the apartment no later than 11:30 so we could head
to ASML.
Since the guys didn’t have a key I wanted to make sure I got
back before them and so I really only had about an hour I could shop. I had
looked online to see what stores might be more affordable but the couple I went
to didn’t have anything I would wear.
With my time gone I decided it would have to wait till we
got back from lunch. Nate decided that 12:30 would be a better arrival time for
us, and after getting our visitors badges we decided would start by eating
lunch. We then went through a similar tour that he had taken Dave and Kristie
and I on.
After getting back from our tour I headed out again in
search of jeans. The biggest issue I have is that 99% of jeans are skinny
jeans, of which I cannot wear. After much searching though I was finally able
to find some boot cut jeans in my size, and although they may be slightly more “Mom
Jeans” than I like, they fit and didn’t cost a fortune, so they will just have
to work till I get home.
Nice pictures of them on the track!
