   After breakfast Sunday morning we headed into Scranton to try find the PA Paper co.. A building that you see in the opening shots of the TV show The Office . Then we went to the Steamtown Mall, which is also talked about on the show. We got to the mall before all the shops opened, so we decided to walk around and wait till they opened so we could buy a souvenir from The Office store. We were also looking for the “Welcome to Scranton” sign which we heard was in the mall as well. PA Paper Co      As we were looking for the sign we saw that there was a walking bridge off of the food court, and after making sure that we wouldn’t get locked out, we wandered outside. The bridge went over railroad tracks and they had a steam train getting ready to depart with passengers.   Saturday we got up early to drive north to Lime Rock Park, a famous racetrack in Lakeville, Connecticut. They were having the NASCAR Modified tour along with F2000 and F1600 championships.      Along the way I was hoping to see some beautiful fall colors, however the trees where just starting to change colors, so I didn’t get to see that. We did pass through a lot of small towns, one which had a really cool waterfall.  Only 15 minutes away from the track we came to a road block, and had to turn around and find a different way to the track. Leaves just starting to turn yellow.   By the time we got inside, the race had already started, so we went to find a place to sit on the grassy hillside. It’s really a cool track, it’s built around a hill so you can just sit on the hill to watch as there are no grandstands. Sunday we were up early  to go find the Duck Tours. The ducks were amphibious vehicles built during WWII, because a lot of the places the army needed to land didn’t have docks for a boat. These vehicles could motor over on the water and with a flip of a switch drive up on a sandy or rocky beach and keep on going.      Our duck was named “Charlie River” and our driver was a very lively and funny guy. We started our tour at the Prudential Center and soon drove over the finish line to the Boston Marathon. The next attraction we came to was the Massachusetts State House which has a dome on top covered in gold. The original dome was wooden, but it leaked, so Paul Revere’s company covered it in copper. It was painted during the war time and later covered in gold.
